Story of "bing tang hu lu"Let me introduce what is bing tang hu lu(sweet). It is a type of sweet in China. A sour/bitter fruit coated with sugar.
Here's a story of this particular sweet:
A lady bought
bing tang hu lu for her son to try, and his friends all were jealous as none of them tried it before.
One of his friends suggested
"Why don't we compete, the winner takes
the sweet."
All of them agreed and started to brain storm ways of competitions.
One suggested "arm wrestle".
Another said "running a race".
Others had more competitive ideas.
After much discussion, they settled down with "A marathon". The marathon starts with a swim by the lake, then crawl in the muddy fields and lastly
sprint to the finish line.
All of them warmed up and started the marathon. They swam and crawled and sprint. When they reached the finished line, they were all wet and dirty and of cuz tired. But at least it was a fair competition and
they had a winner.
The winner had the
bing tang hu lu, and smiled at the rest. He started to eat the sweet with a sweet smile. Soon his smile became a frown and he spat it out. After that all the rest found out the fruit is bitter/sour.
Morale of story:
Love is like this sweet,
sweet on the outside sour in the inside.
Everyone desires to have it
and hoped they are lucky to have a sweet fruit inside.
At the start,
love is sweet.
As love grow with time,
the sugar melts and becomes less sweet.
When there's no longer any sugar,
they will taste the fruit inside.
Only then will they realise love is sour and bitter,
and regretted what they did.
All the sweetnss that they tasted,
were just illusion of love.
Illusion that made love so perfect,
but the perfection ended with bitterness and sourness.
Not everyone is lucky to have a sweet fruit,
most of the time is sour/bitter.
After one try,
seldom will people try it again.
"Once bitten, twice shy"
That's the morale of story.
